Adventure Island

Adventure Island is a premier water park in Tampa, located across the street from Busch Gardens. The landscaping is lovely, with flowers and shade trees throughout the attraction. The water rides offer a variety of twists and turns; some scary, others slow, so guests of all ages can enjoy themselves. There is also a sand volleyball section, various places to eat, and plenty of shady picnic areas as well. This is a very pleasant park to enjoy on a hot, sunny Florida day.

Adventure Island Photos

	Children can splash and play in Adventure Island's Rain Forest. A kid's favorite.
	Catch a wave in the Endless Surf wave pool. The water is cool, the waves are soft and flowing, and smiles abound on swimmers throughout.
	Mr. Alligator greets patrons as they ramble through this picturesque park.
	People of all ages enjoy the Runaway Rapids. The rapids twist and turn through a tropical forest, ending with a big splash!
	Riptide is one of the newer rides at Adventure Island. On your mark, get set, go. Four people start at the same time, and race to the bottom on a light-weight raft.
	Joe Mangos provides burgers, fries, shakes, and more.
	Paradise Lagoon has two tube slides that plop guests deep into the water, and there are high dive cliffs for the daring types to jump off.
	Friends couple up for a ride down Wahoo Run. Up to four people sit on an inner tube as it floats down the water to a wading pool below.
	The Aruba Tuba gives just enough speed to be fun, but not so much to be scary.
	The Rambling Bayou lazy river flows throughout the park, with views of the rides above.

Beat The Crowds

Thanks a ton on the recommendation to arrive early to beat the crowds. You were right, we pulled into the lot around 10 minutes prior to opening. Wow, was that smart. The first couple of hours we were able to use every ride with basically no waiting.

After around 1PM, bingo the place was rocking. It was still fun, but using the big rides Riptide was out.

Top Park List

Hi
We loved the Paradise Lagoon pool. We have 2 kids, 7 and 9 years old, and they just eat up the cliff jumping and those holes that you slide down through. This is easily the best water park in Florida that we have been to.

I was wondering if you guys had put together a list of the top parks. We are on our annual Florida vacation and would love to see a list like that. If your site editors have created that list, could you please email it back over to us.

Perfect Park for Children

C: We took four children, two of mine and two of a friend's kids, and boy we had a great at the water park. This is the perfect park for children, they have fun, get plenty of exercise, and have to follow rules, which is good for them too. A nice and safe place for them to enjoy. A great Tampa Water Park Park!

Central Florida's Best Water Park

I have to say that the huge wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is the best around. However, as far as an overall water park experience adventure island is right at the top. Disney's Blizzard Beach is big Orlando area fun as well. Another top rated central florida attraction.
