Family Fun with a View

Anna Maria Island Park is a charming waterfront park on the northern side of Anna Maria Island, with outstanding views of Egmont Key, and the towering Sunshine Skyway Bridge. The park is situated between two of the oldest and most active fishing piers in Florida, "The City Pier" and the "Rod and Reel Pier". These visual elements, combined with the tall shade trees, and the waterfront picnicking, are what give Anna Maria Island Bayfront Park its special feel. This is a delightful family spot, peaceful and unique with scenic qualities.

Outdoor Birthday Party

Q: My son turns six next month and we are looking for a good spot in Bradenton to have a waterfront beach birthday picnic. It will be about thirty kids, as most of his little league baseball team is coming, plus some of the parents. I know that is a lot of folks, and most places can't hold that many people. Do you have a few suggestions for Manatee County birthday party spots? Hopefully it will be close to one of the Manatee County boat ramps, as a couple of us are going to drop our boat in, so we can water ski and go tubing. Figured you might know of a good spot, since you have a bunch of the fun beach spots covered on your web site.

A: Super, a big beach party, should be a blast. I would say you can't go wrong with either: Anna Maria Bayfront Park, Holmes Beach, or Coquina Beach Park. And all of these are near a boat ramp, which you get directions and detail at our Manatee County boat ramp list.

If you can, you might try to go out and scout them out. We have phone numbers on the pages, to double check on making reservations. While not required, it could be worth calling to get an answer. Most of the tables are first come, first served, so maybe a few people can get out early and cover a few tables, lay some chairs out, and basically claim your spot at the park. Hanging some balloons, with a happy birthday sign would help as well. You and the gang have a great beach and boating birthday party. Please let us know how it turns out.

Anna Maria Things to Do

This island vacation getaway has so many things to do. It does start at the beach and the water activities, and the boating is the best. On our last summer vacation we got a free night, all for booking a room for two nights. Three days at the beach, all for the price of two. So it was a cheap discount beach vacation.
