A Great Sarasota Beach

Caspersen Park is a natural beauty, with large areas of preserved coastline and great water for swimming. It is a beach side nature park with trails connecting to the long Venetian Waterway Trail. The park has rolling sand dunes and long expanses of undeveloped beach to explore.

beach area comment

A very nice beach, and a great place to swim and play around the water. Expect a quiet nature beach, it does not have the sizzle of Ft. Lauderdale or Clearwater Beach, more scenic and natural. ★★★★★
cleanliness comment

This is a Sarasota County Park, and is well maintained.★★★★★
parking comment

On summer weekends the parking lots can fill up. However, this is less common and overflow parking is available, but you may need to walk a bit further. Parking is free! ★★★★

The restroom and shower areas were fine. This is a beach park, so you will have sand and wetness. ★★★★

Caspersen Beach Park Questions or Comments

Natural Beach Park

This is one of the most natural beach park remaining in Florida. Caspersen Beach is one of the most unique and interesting beaches to go to, the perfect place to enjoy the water. We love the long walks down the southern part of the beach, it is just so scenic. This park is also great for biking, as it connects up with a long sidewalk system called the Venetian Waterway Trail. You can really go for a long ride without dealing with any cars.
