Bridge Overlooks
So you'd like to experience some spectacular views of Clearwater, the Inter-coastal waterway, Clearwater Beach, and Sand Key? Then up the bridges you go. They really are fun to walk up, and they were built with safety zones for pedestrians and bikes. It is fantastic, fitness oriented, free, and fun. Try it at sunset for an extra special view.
Clearwater Causeway Bridge
With parking on either side, you will love the view of the Inter-coastal waterway. Watch the boats pass underneath you. If you walk on the northern side, you will have a great view of Coachman Park and downtown Clearwater. The views on the southern side are of the Inter-coastal and Clearwater Beach.
Sand Key Bridge
This is a big bridge with direct views of the channel, and the boat traffic heading in and out of the Gulf of Mexico. On the west side, you will have a great view of Sand Key, and the waterfront bars, restaurants, and hotels along Clearwater Beach.
Waterfront Dining
One of the very best things to do around Clearwater and Sand Key is enjoying the waterfront dining. What great times can be had sharing your fishing charter stories and discussing your fun beach day, all with a great view of the water and the boats cruising by. Some of our favorite local waterfront dining spots include: Frenchy's Saltwater Cafe and the Island Way Grill.
