Charter Fishing

clearwater beach

For those who want to experience Florida at it's best, Charter Fishing trips are available to take you out to the deeper waters of the Gulf. You'll get the chance to "catch the big one" on your expedition. A Charter Fishing trip is a very unique way to spend the day, and it is right here in Clearwater Beach.

About Charter Fishing

Charter Fishing trips are available daily at the Clearwater Beach Municipal Marina. Prices are reasonable, and no prior experience is necessary. You'll have a crew on board to help with all your fishing needs. Most of the charter boats can carry anywhere from six anglers to large crafts taking 50 or more. They provide all the lures, rods, and reels and you don't even need bait. They provide live bait, and the fishing licenses. It is truly a super experience, try the light tackle action for kings, tuna, cudas, and sharks. Closer to shore along the coastal gulf, your catch may be bluefish, cobia, tunny, or even some triple tail.

What will you catch?

These captains know the water and use depth your advantage. They know where the fish congregate based upon tides and temperature zones, helping you catch a wide variety of fish: grouper, redfish, snook, sheepshead, sea bass, grey grunts, and snapper. Whatever the season or time of day, you will catch some. A good captain will land fish even with extreme tide swings or strong winds. Give them a call and let's go fishing!

Clearwater Charter Questions or Comments

Clearwater Marina

It really is a great time going out on a boat. It can be fishing, sightseeing, or sunset cruises. They are all great. One of my family's favorites is Captain Memo's Pirate Cruise. We take that out when visitors stay with us. So maybe once or twice a year. It lasts for about two hours, and is very spirited fun. You can find the marina at 25 Causeway Boulevard, right near the round about. Last month we took another Clearwater Sunset Cruise, but Captain Memo's was the best and a little more fun.

Clearwater Fishing Licenses

We were planning on fishing for the weekend, but figured that it was smarter to take a fishing charter, and use the money that would have been used for a fishing license as part of the cost of the charter. For locals, the annual saltwater license would be the way to go. Now we can get out on the water, have better fishing, and not be stuck on the Clearwater Beach Pier.
