Clearwater Beach is simply one of the most beautiful, pristine, silky, white-sand beaches in all of Florida. This beach has so much to offer, for the young and the young-at-heart. Sunbathe on the soft white sand, take a stroll along the beach, enjoy frolicking in the water, or partake in one of the many boat rides available close by. This beach is located at the west end of SR 60, also known as Gulf to Bay Boulevard.
We spent the weekend at the Clearwater Beach Hilton, after finding a great deal online. This hotel is located in the heart of Clearwater Beach, right next to Pier 60. We rented a cabana on the beach, which is just wonderful for leisurely sunbathing, or reading a great summer novel. We swam in the water, enjoyed a Pina Colada out on the beach, and later in the day, we went to the pool area and listened to the hotel steel drum band play great island reggae music. Hey Mon, Enjoy.
Activities abound in Clearwater Beach. There is so much to see and do. You can't possibly do it all in one weekend, but that's ok, because no matter what you do, you'll enjoy it all in this lovely beach community. Start your day with a fresh breakfast at one of the local restaurants. Then take a trip on the water with one of the many boat tours available at the local marina. Or visit the nearby Clearwater Aquarium, if you prefer to stay indoors. And of course, spend time on the soft sand beach itself, which just can't be beat. Lunch time is a good time to visit Frenchy's, located in the North Beach area. And the best way to finish the day is by celebrating the sunset, which is done each night at the Pier 60 Sunset Celebration. This party is a great way to end the day, and the sunset is absolutely fabulous.
Clearwater Beach is hip and quaint at the same time, and these qualities make it a very endearing place to stay. It's hip, full of young people, but there is also something for everyone. You'll be at home here, no matter what your age. There is a lovely children's playground at the entrance of Pier 60, an Internet cafe for technical types, a small British pub for those who enjoy the UK, and the Beachcomber restaurant for those with discerning tastes. Clearwater Beach encompasses it all, while still maintaining a small-town feel that makes a lazy day at this beach all the more enjoyable.
Clearwater Beach is a beautiful beach, no doubt about it. It's a lively beach, with many activities available to fill your day. Parking can be a premium, so get here early. This beach has everything you need for a fun-filled getaway. There are concessions nearby, as well as restrooms, and the beach is staffed with lifeguards year-round. There are all sorts of restaurants just off the beach to enjoy, and the marina is a short walk away for those who like to get out on the water. Enjoying Clearwater Beach is a great way to spend the day.
