North Beach
Just a few blocks away from Main Beach and Pier 60, you'll find the North Beach area. Water activities, such as wave runner rentals and parasailing, are prevalent in this area. Volleyball tournaments can be seen on the beach close by. And two of Clearwater Beach's most popular local beachside restaurants, Frenchy's Cafe and Palm Pavilion, are located at the center of the North beach area.
About North Beach
This beach is a terrific place to visit. Sunbath on the soft white sand, or take a walk along the beach. Rent a wave runner, and take a ride out on the Gulf. Stop for lunch at Frenchy's Rockaway Grill, Frenchy's Saltwater Cafe, or Frenchy's on Baymont. Eat a freshly-made grouper sandwich, while you listen to the sounds of island music. It's a lazy day at North beach and a fabulous day too.
What you will Find
This wonderful area north of Memorial Causeway on Mandalay Avenue is something special. Lots of great shops line the streets, bikes cruise by, scooters toot their horn, and the beach goers make their way to the beach, ice chest in tow. The area has lush and tropically decorated hotels, restaurants, and condominiums. As you move further north and just past the entertainment district, unique and distinctive single family homes fill out the remainder of the northern part of the island. The Jolley Trolley is a consistent sight, as this is by far the best way to get around the Island, Sand Key, and south to St. Pete Beach.
