It is all here, play in the sand, walk along the coastline, and jump in the water, all with spectacular views of the towering hotels and condos. |
The water is typically calm with light surf. The life guards have the best view of all. |
As the winds pickup, so do the waves. Bring your board and you can ride the waves. |
Tubes and rafts are a big hit with the kids. Playing in the water is a great way to stay cool and enjoy the surf. |
Pier 60 is a great sight, as the pier jets out of the water. Walk out to the end for a beautiful view up and down the coastline. |
Everyone loves to play in the sand. Amazingly you will find both young and old alike digging and making individual sand castles. |
Don't forget to checkout the spectacular sunset views. It is a celebration here, yes, a daily Sunset Celebration tradition. |
I am always amazed at colorful display of umbrellas, towels, and rafts which enhance the beauty of the sand and water. |
Remember how you love the water and the beach as a 10 year old. Kids really love the beach and it shows. |
It can be a very busy beach, which helps give Clearwater Beach its special appeal as it is all eye-candy. |

Clearwater Beach Questions or Comments
Beach Parking
I guess we are spoiled as we don't have to pay for parking in Sarasota, as the beach parking is free. The Clearwater Beach officials need to re-think the parking policy, as more locals would visit if they went to free parking.

Divorce Capital
Saw on the news that Clearwater is one of the cities in the US with the highest rate of divorce. One reason said was that there is no waiting period, which means couples have a big argument and just go and get divorced. At least our area is also number one for fun!

Marine Aquarium
A great stop on the way out to the beach is the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. It is a fun and educational experience for all ages. The aquarium is focused on the rescue and rehabilitation of injured marine animals. A kind of aquatic hospital, what a great cause.
You can find the aquarium just of state road 60, take a right at the light at Island Way. Go left at Windward Passage, and the aquarium is right down on the left. It is 249 Windward Passage. It is a nice marine experience. Another great Clearwater Beach things to do, perfect for families.
