Fox Top 5 Rating
Bill Murphy of Fox 13 did a live show this morning from the Don Cesar, taunting it for the top five rating it received from viewers. The station did some sort of poll with its viewers, and the hotel did get a top-5 rating. Oh, they did a top-7, so five is great. The hotel is known for its service. The are constructing a new spa area right now, all beachside. The new building will look like it has been there for the past eighty years. The GM talked about the future plans of the hotel. It also won Lowe's Hotel of the year.

Pinellas County Beach Hotels
It is nice that the economy is causing the local pinellas county hotels to offer discounts in order for them to lower their vacancy rates. I noticed that the Don Cesar Resort is not the only hotel advertising these discounts, I saw advertisements on TV for the Sirata Beach Resort, Sand Key Marriott, Sand Key Sheraton, and the TradeWinds Island Resort. This is a super time to take a beach weekend getaway, with the bonus of the reduced room rates via the hotel discounts.
