| Entertainment is the name of the game here at Epcot's World Showcase. Concerts, street acts, comedians, song, and dance keeps this attraction lively and festive. Here you see Kevin White playing a Tribute to Garth Brooks, as part of the Summer Concert Series.
What's it all about? The World Showcase consists of eleven pavilions representing countries, each with their special grandeur and flare! All of the lands are situated around a nice water front setting, the World Showcase Lagoon. Each country's pavilions highlight the customs and features of each nation, just like the real thing. Special events, unique live entertainment, music, food help to make each country feel so realistic. China, Italy, Canada, Morocco and more! Epcot is a fantastic day out for all the family. Your children will find the park fun, and it provides a nice learning opportunity for all ages. The food and drink options are wide open, including each country's best beer and wine. Finish the day with your choice of select dining and get ready for the grand firework celebration, Illuminations. This is one of the most impressive fireworks around, and the World Showcase is the perfect place to watch. This is a must do when in Orlando and Illuminations makes a great finale to a wonderful day at Epcot. |

| You don't have to head north to find the richness and diversity of Canada. Canada Epcot World Showcase displays it well with a giant thirty foot totem pole, log cabins, waterfalls, and a replica of Ottawa's Victorian-style Chateau Laurier Hotel. Canada also has the Circle Vision 360 Degree Film Attraction: O Canada! Pickup a Canadian trinket at the Northwest Mercantile or La Boutique des Provinces. The featured restaurant in the Canada Pavilion is the Le Cellier Steakhouse Restaurant, serving Canadian style beer, wine, seafood, and steaks. |
| It's old style UK, with thatched cottages and live street shows highlighting the impression of medieval London. The Rose and Crown Pub & Dining Room is the most popular part of the United Kingdom Showcase, perhaps it is to sample the Guinness Stout and Bass Ale beers. At the Yorkshire County Fish Shop you have the opportunity to try some famous English style fish and chips. These restaurants really do a great job of representing English food fancies. Ask a cast member when the next street show is starting, and plan accordingly. |
| The France Showcase is a great pavilion, based on the La Belle Epoque period in the late 1800s. The area includes replica period buildings and landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower. One of the big attractions is the Impressions de France, a 200 degree film production. Don't miss this amazing cinematic presentation which highlights the beauty of the French Countryside. Very popular are the pastries, quiches, and dining atmospheres at Boulangerie Patisserie, Bistro de Paris, and Chefs de France. |
| It's Morocco, where you can stroll the Moroccan Village Shops and checkout the brass pots, leather sandals, and historic handmade crafts. Filled with the culture of Aladdin, the mystic splendor of the Middle East surrounds you, including the entertainment from beautiful belly dancers. You can enter a replica of a Moroccan house (called Fez House) to get the feel for a foreign land. |
| You will notice Japan at Epcot from almost anywhere along the Epcot Lagoon, as the large five story pagoda building towers the Japan Showcase. This building is modeled after a pagoda from the Eighth century called Goju-no-to. As you stroll the grounds you pass displays and ponds filled with exotic fish are gorgeous landscaping. Interesting is the Bijutsu-kan Gallery an exhibition of Japanese life and culture. The Mitsukoshi Department Store is very popular and has tons of neat Japanese things to see and explore. |
| Back to the beginnings of the United States, which includes a chance to witness one of Disney World's most technically advanced stage presentation: the American Adventure. This is an audio-animatronics show that takes you back over the key events in American history. Around the showcase you find architecture from places like Boston and Williamsburg as they were in the Colonial times. Along the Epcot Lagoon is the America Gardens Theatre, which holds the various music concerts including the Summer Concert Series and the International Food & Wine Festival Concerts. At the Liberty Inn try classic American food, cheeseburgers, fries, chicken salads, and more.
Here you see a photograph of the Spirit of America Fife & Drum Corps during a patriotic musical performance from the heart of American heritage. |
| The Italy Showcase is certainly one of the most interesting to the eyes. You enter Venice through St. Mark's Square and pass by two tall columns, one featuring the military leader St. Theodore and the other the mythical guardian of Venice: a Winged Lion. Italy has interesting street performances, the World Showcase Players are a truly fun Italian experience. Italy's famous pasta and Italian specialties can be found at the L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante. At Delizie Italian, shop for some Italian chocolates, candies, and gifts. |
| Time to enter the heart of a old style German village, as folklore and festivals fill the main square. The village has about a half dozen shops to stroll through. Come enjoy a German Oktoberfest everyday at the German Showcase. A fun country to try some tasty German food (bratwurst, pretzels, authentic German beer) at Biergarten Restaurant or Sommerfest. We love the gothic architecture, including the Biergarten, modeled after a building in the Bavarian city of Rothenburg. In the center of the action is a statue of St. George and the Dragon. |
| Our first visit to the China Showcase started with the a show by the Dragon Legends Acrobats, These famous performers display balance and grace in an amazing display of human talent. You really need to see this, so ask a Epcot Cast Member for show times. Other highlights include the 360-degree film: Reflections of China, the Temple of Heaven, and SI XIAN: the Chinese harp. For some interesting shopping and browsing visit Yong Feng Shangdian Department Store. Try some chinese cuisine, egg rolls, and lo mien at Lotus Blossom Cafe or Nine Dragons Restaurant. |
| Welcome to the Norway Showcase which includes the Maelstrom Boat Voyage, a fun boating adventure through the Viking era, followed by a short film. Don't miss the replica of a medieval church, known as the Stave Church, which holds a collection of Norse artifacts. Try some neat sandwiches and pastry treats at Kringla Bakery Og Kafe or Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. The Storybook Dining gives you children a chance to eat and be entertained by Disney Characters. Street shows vary by season and include a folksy band singing in their native tongue. |
| The first thing you may notice upon nearing the Mexico Showcase is the tall Aztec temple, which is a replica of the Temple of Quetzalcoatl (an Aztec god). Inside you get to enjoy the nightlife of Mexico, a neat mix of shopping, mexican arts, and a boat ride. The boat ride attraction is called El Rio del Tiempo River of Time, a gentle ride with Mexican sights and sounds. Don't miss the tasty menu choices of authentic Mexican dining (tacos, churros, margaritas, etc.) at either Cantina de San Angel or San Angel Inn Restaurante. Ole! |
