Underwater Nature Park
Located next to Channelside and within walking distance of Downtown Tampa, The Florida Aquarium is a sea lovers dream. You walk through the exhibit to observe over 10,000 aquatic plants and crazy critters both native to Florida and around the globe. It is a big complex at approximately 200,000, all focused on fun, interactive learning.

Tampa Family Fun
My children just really enjoyed their school field trip to the aquarium. The six to twelve year olds probably will enjoy this tampa attraction the most. One of the key things to see is the shark collection and you can even pay extra and swim with the sharks. This is a nice aquatic attraction, and good for all ages, but mostly focused on children up to about junior high school age. A typical high school kid would likely be quickly bored with the aquarium.

Did you hear, the forecast call for heavy showers at the Tampa's Florida Aquarium. Now featuring "Explore a Shore", a two acre water play zone for children. See the Penguin Promenade, with the African black footed and fast moving penguins. Yes, it is Tampa's playground in the Heart of the Channelside District.
