Fort Wilderness Camping Questions or Comments
Getting Around
Q: We are so excited over our first big florida vacation to disney. The kids are singing disney songs all around the house. After lots of thinking and planning, we want to stay for two weeks, so we are going to camp. Yes, two weeks of camping might sound like a lot, but at fort wilderness, it should be no problem. What is the best way to get around? We want to hit all the theme parks, but also a bunch or resorts: wilderness lodge, contemporary resort, beach club, etc. Any issue getting around?
Thanks, Paul Rodriguez - Dalton Georgia
A: Oh my, you and the family are going to love Fort Wilderness, the camping, campfires, fireworks, and the theme parks. Traveling around is easy, and I would recommend renting a golf cart, if it is in the budget. You can wiz around and it is so fun at night. Be sure to get a bunch of fort wilderness maps, park maps, and bus system maps. For the most part, you can take the boat to the monorail, which will easily get you all around the magic kingdom, and to some of the resorts near you: Contemporary Resort. Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and the Wilderness Lodge. The bus system is great as well, and can get you over to International Drive and Downtown Disney Market Place. You are in for a great Florida family vacation.
Have fun!
