Perfect for Families

honeymoon island

Honeymoon Island is a world away from the big city hustle and bustle of everyday life. It's laid back here, peaceful, and serene. It's a beach atmosphere that is simply natural and fun, the way beaches used to be. There are no condos here, just room for the family to relax and enjoy a day at the beach.

About Honeymoon Island

It is not high energy here, but it is breathtaking and enjoyable. Plan to spend a lot of time in the water during the warmer months to stay cool. And bring your raft, beach chairs, beach buckets, and shovels. Honeymoon Island is a wonderful Florida island paradise.

Pinellas County Beach Park

We love the atmosphere this Pinellas County beach park provides, so relaxing but with may options and things to do. The Rotary Centennial Nature Center provides a nice overview into the historic beginning of the park, originally know as Hog Island. You can enjoy the great views off the observation deck behind the nature center. While you enjoy the view, you can also get a closer to it all by strolling along the nature trails that take you around the island. You can really get a nice workout and see some true Florida nature.

Honeymoon Island Beach Park Questions or Comments

Beach Improvements

On our visit last weekend we noticed the Pinellas Park System's beach nourishment project going on. They seem to be focused on the north beach area, where we love to go for the sunsets. I think this is good, as on that portion of the beach had a lot of rocks.
