Honeymoon Island Beach

honeymoon island

With 4 miles of sandy white beach sitting directly on the open Gulf of Mexico waters, this park provides an island setting that is superb for walking, swimming, or sunbathing. The glistening waters of the Gulf of Mexico lure you to the water's edge, where you can soak in the beauty of your beachside surroundings. Make sure to include a trip to this park in your travel plans.

About Honeymoon's Beaches

The beaches here are open and roomy, with soothing sounds of waves gently gliding on shore. The main beach areas have slow grades, and do not get excessively deep unless you go way out. While the beach does get very busy, it is large and expansive, so you can always find a spot for your beach chairs and blankets. It is definitely the miles of white sandy beaches that keep people returning to Honeymoon Island State Park, in Dunedin, Florida.

Great Sunset Beach

One of the most popular things to do at Honeymoon Beach Park is taking in the sunsets. The park lowers the cost one hour prior to sunset to three dollars per vehicle, making it a fun thing to do for those locals in Dunedin, Palm Harbor, and Clearwater.

Sunset Swings

I really don't know of any other beach park around the west coast of Florida that has those big swings. We love going out for the sunsets to relax and enjoy the spectacular views. It is really neat and a completely different scene from the Clearwater Beach Pier 60 Sunset Celebrations.
