I-Drive Questions or Comments
Parking
Q: How is the parking? Any suggestions? We are coming down from Toronto, and are very excited. Our boys love Mickey, so we are planning to do a ton of shopping. My husband has been reading online about the bass pro shop. Apparently, they even have a huge lake inside so that you can try out the kayaks and canoes. Only in Orange County can you find something like that.
Regards, Jill Whitley (Toronto, Canada)
A: Hey Jill, You will have to let me know where you are staying. As where your hotel is, kind of determines the best transportation method. You might not need to drive, as the Orlando Bus System, called LYNX (golynx.com) is great. Also, many of the resorts around Orange County, the city of Orlando, and Disney provide shuttles as well. If you drive over from your hotel, there are plenty of public lots available. Look for the signs, as most of the parking lots are located a block off of the main drag. Another option is to park at one of the shopping outlets, like Festival Bag, and take the I-Drive Bus to all the spots. By the way, Festival Bag is where the Bass Pro Shop is located. Yes, that tryout pool they have is great. While you are in the area, Ripley's Believe It or Not is good family fun. With so many things to do, you will have a wonderful Florida Vacation!
I-Drive Trolley
Boy the I-Drive Trolley is super and a life saver for me. I has taken my bike from my hotel and was about five miles down international drive and my bike got a flat tire. So I started pushing my bike back in the direction of the Peabody Resort, and then I saw a Trolley go by. It dawned on me to just lock my bike to a pole, take the trolley back to the hotel, then come get my bike with my car. That worked great, and the trolley really came through. Going to start taking the bus system around Orlando and International Drive, the next time I visit.

Things to Do
We agree, with some many I-drive things to do, the best way to get around is on the trolley. Find the parking and jump on the trolley.
More Shopping
Q: Hi Fun Florida Getaways...If we are short on time, after hitting Seaworld, where is the one shopping place that has it all. We have an early evening flight out, but figure to have 3 or 4 hours to shop for gifts for the family back home in Detroit.
Thanks, Peter B. (Detroit, MI)
A: You really need to check out Downtown Disney Marketplace. It is really fun, with great theme park trinkets and top dining spots. Have fun!
