July is the time to hit Daytona Beach

It must be the best time to book a beach hotel in Daytona. Plan early as over the 4th of July weekend, the big race comes into town. Yes, NASCAR's top drivers converge on Daytona Beach for the running of the Daytona 400 Sprint Cup Series race. This is great and just as good as the 500 race which happens in February. Remember, in the old days there was no race track and the races were held on close by at Ormond Beach. Another special feature of this part of Florida is parking is permitted on the beach! This is classic surfer stuff, just like the Beach Boys. They say it is about 20+ miles of beaches in Daytona, only St. Petersburg can top that. It is a great beachtown, we love it.
