Rating the Top Beach Parks
So good, the best beach in Fort Myers area. Wow.

Unexpected Surprises Around the Island
One of the best beach areas in all of Southwest Florida, and great for shelling. Open to the public, with hourly parking meters. A top spot for really long walking distances on the beach shoreline. Bring your credit card and you can stop and eat at places you find along your journey.

Dead or Live Seashells is Important
January is crazy for seashells out here. I like looking and taking them home for display. It is all legal, no issue with the empty shells. Just be sure there are no live ones, that you need to TLC back deeper into the water.

About Ten Minutes from the Bridge

From Ft. Myers, take McGregor Blvd east merging on County Rd 867/Sanibel Causeway Blvd crossing the bridge. Right on Periwinkle Way which merges to Sanibel-Captiva Road, go 5 miles and left on Bowmans Beach Road.
