More than just the Light Bulb!
The compelling past and present of the Light Bulb and Edison. So neat to tour the old buildings, waterfront plantation house, and gardens.

Be the Ft. Myers Early Bird
Go early in the day and you can take the tour with just a few others. You learn so much more then and get professional tour treatment. When the tour has 20 or more, it is hard to hear and not as pleasant.

Pick a Nice Weather Day to Tour

The light bulb started here. We just thought the whole area is just fascinating. It was so lucky for the City of Fort Myers that these entrepreneurs picked here to make a winter retreat. It has been restored to fully reflect the period of around 1925, which includes the waterfront homes, gardens, and even their laboratories. You get nice information on the inventions and other parts of their daily lives.
