Ideas for Family Fun and Play
Anna Maria Island is a very beautiful place with many natural treasures! What better way to explore all the Island has to offer then with a bike or kayak? As featured in Southern Living and voted by the Anna Maria Sun Readers, Beach Bums is the best rental shop on Anna Maria Island. The have a large, meticulously maintained rental fleet of bikes, kayaks, Go Pets, street legal golf carts, beach and baby supplies. The even have a marine biologist on staff to conduct guided kayak eco-tours.

Nothing beats a Fat Tire Beach Ride!

We like to focus our island vacation activities around bicycle riding and kayaks. Use the kayaks on the Bayside and avoid the wind. You can paddle towards Cortez and navigate ride along the inner shoreline. You can stop and eat at the restaurants and tie up to the dock. Bicycle riding is legal right on the shoreline and so fun.
