In Key Largo, after the beach or boating day the main gathering spots are local restaurants. One of the very popular places is at the top of the Florida Keys is here by the Card Sound Toll Plaza. A jeans and T-shirt place overlooking a local bayou featuring down home seafood dishes and famous conch fritters. It was excellent, perfect for stopping at lunch time as you travel through the Keys.

Conch Fritters Bar & Restaurant Key Largo
Menu items are easy, which makes making conch fritters at home fun for all. You do not have to be a Chef to whip these treats out! (1) Parsley (dice chopped) (2) Eggs (beaten) (3) Red Pepper Flakes (4) Black Pepper (5) Lime Juice (6) Garlic cloves (minced) (7) Hot Sauce (dipping sauce) (8) Ground Florida Keys Conch (fresh or frozen) (9) Onions (thinly sliced) (10) Green Pepper (finely chopped) (11) Milk (12) Baking Powder (13) and Flour.

They do have nice live music bands, but everyone does in the Florida Keys. What a super spot for food on the way to things further down.

What is Cool in South Florida
Miamians in search of a good time in the Upper Florida Keys no longer need to travel even down to Key Largo. Only steps away from the toll booth on Card Sound Road is this special place for boating, snorkeling, fishing, and dining. Yes, the Monroe County public boat ramp is right next to the restaurant (small boats only). So you can do it all first, then hit Jack's Waterfront Bar after the watersports.
