Climb the Florida Keys Mountain

Could not have loved the park more than we did. The best part was walking out onto the top of the Old Bahia Honda Bridge, it is open to foot traffic. Wow, the views are just stunning. It is one of the few places in the Florida Keys you get a high up view like this. See it all from here, the beach area, boats cruising by, activity at the boat ramp, and people snorkeling in the ocean.

Fun at Bahia Honda
The snorkeling here is excellent, and this is a really beautiful park. There is a nice snack bar here, and clean restrooms as well.

See the Old Bahia Honda Bridge
From the beach area or as you drive over the new bridge, look closely at the old one. You can see the lattice-work of it, it was converted for cars. Yes, the state built a one-way highway on top of the trusses, and the car passed above and below each other.
