Big waves make for a magical shoreline and there are so neat to play in. Plan on buying a body board if you do not have one. A good board will be under $20, and will be worth the price to have for the fun using it. Most of the hotels have used body boards for anyone to use free and return it back when finished. Our hotel was excellent and is close to Ron Jons, Shepard Park, and the Pier Tiki Bar!

What to Bring to Enjoy Cocoa Beach Waves The body boarding is better than surfing in 1 to 4 foot waves. As they rise to the 4 to 6 six foot level, then we bring the surf boards. Most places will rent you a board for less than ten dollars per hour. Ron Jons has lesson and they teach you in the water and on the beach.
