Perfect for a day out at the beach. It was neat to find out about the history of this beach town. Known as the Birthplace of Speed, as the area earned that nickname for the first auto races taking place here. Yes, right around both Daytona and Ormond Beaches, which are a few miles north of Sun Splash. The beaches are so wide, only here could you do that in Florida.

Ocean Deck Restaurant & Beach Club
Mostly, we really do not leave the beach once we park the car at the hotel. Body boarding is out favorite thing to do in the water. There is a great bar we love here, the Ocean Deck Restaurant & Beach Club (127 South Ocean Avenue). The Fried Seafood Combo has fried shrimp and mahi-mahi bites, with fantastic shoestring fries.

All the Pleasures of a Beach Day
It is a really nice place to hit the beach and much more relaxing for everyone. I do like watching the volleyball up at the main beach zone. You have more room for waveboarding here at Sun Splash.
