A nice time. One of the most interesting Lee County daytrips is a Guided Tour of the historic homes of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison. The museum and waterfront grounds are loaded with neat artifacts and mementos.

Cool Time with the Tour You can even purchase Thomas Edison Seeds from his garden as a souvenir, so you can replant at home.

Who Likes or Dis-Likes Edison? Of the four of us that went, we had two that loved it and two that kind of went disappointed. This is a treasure and so is broccoli! Just ask Dr. Oz, he promotes broccoli. Older things just are not for everyone. To me it is exceptional, and history is something so intriguing.
Our Fort Myers History is on Display Yes, this is a grand time and you will learn tons about the history of Ft. Myers at the same time. All Lee County Residents have to work this spot into your busy schedules, since it is easy for us to pop over on a whim. Nice walking, which you will do plenty of. Bring your umbrella on hot days or come early.
