The main public beach in Sanibel is the Lightouse Beach Park. It is awesome and extremely popular. The beach area near South Seas Plantation Resort in Captiva, is one of a kind as well. You can stop in for dinner or cocktails, beachside with a great view. Try Captiva Cruise Adventures for a really neat sunset boat ride.

The Parking lot can Fill up There are two or three small parking areas and we were always able to get a spot. However, most people in Sanibel travel on bicycles.
