Catching plenty of fish in Matlacha
I can't complain about staying out here in Matlacha, but the facts point to this being a very cold winter for us in Florida. The normal longer periods between cold periods have been short and rare. Boating has not worked out so far this week, but we fished off of the bridge and cleaned up on redfish and trout.

New Things to Make a Smile!
It is zany cool out for a day here. What an interesting mix as music, art, fish, and nature call Pine Island home. Yes, that is the name of the island, which really has a few small and wonderful city centers. The uniqueness of the water helps enrich the local culture in many ways, starting with seafood!
