Today Show was Right on the Money
It was promoted on the Today Show, so we came and loved it. You will not be able to do it all in one trip, but do try to do one or two of the main activities of the Florida Keys: boating, fishing, snorkeling, sunset cruise, and a dolphin watch. We're a bit surprised that Smathers beach is not very wide and you can forget about waves, but you can snorkel at these beaches. They are calm and relaxing, but there will be some sea weed most likely. Definitely you want to take some beach shoes, here they are called wet-wearables. There are plenty of rocks and things that you do not want to step on with bare feet.
