If you are driving into hit the beach for a day trip, parking will be important. One of the larger parking zones is at the main beach area, called Alan Shepard Park. It is a huge hit with families, locals, and the tourists are everywhere because of the surrounding oceanfront hotels.

Florida's widest beach is amazing at Cocoa Beach!
The entire beach area is so stunning, it is certainly one of a kind. Walk to the pier which is straight ahead to the north, about one mile.

Giant Cocoa Beach Waves
I would assume the storm off the coast is going to blow some giant waves into Shepard Beach Park this week. We can click on the surf report video this week each day to see what happens here.

All is Clear at Cocoa Beach
Ok, that is a great idea to go to the end of the pier. We can do the things we didn't get to do last time. I have been checking around and there doesn't seem to be a problem with jelly fish anymore, so we might be able to do some body surfing with the boogie boards.

Parking Spots at Cocoa Beach
There is an excellent bar right at the entrance area, it has a second deck view. Good for picnics, you just have to carry the stuff about fifty yards.
