This bar is a really big deal regarding the history of the city, and even has a mix of Hemingway tossed in. Yes, he used to come here nearly everyday, late in the afternoon after his writing time. One visiting Key West just has to see his house at least once, called the Hemingway Home & Museum. There is a fee, but it is not that high and it is just so historic. A free tour is included with the price of admission. The tour guide will mention Captain Tony's Bar as part of the communication messaging.

Live Music Starts in the Afternoon Before you head down for your next trip to the island, do read up on all that happened on this property, now known as Captain Tonys. I won't go into it, but very unusual.
