Welcome to Cape Coral Florida
A very unique area of Southwest Florida is one of my favorite waterfront cities, Cape Coral. The city sits on a huge peninsula along the Gulf Coast of Florida, just South of Fort Myers Beach. Known by locals as "the cape", this boating hot spot and is bordered by the Caloosahatchee River and Matlacha Pass. Part of what makes Cape Coral so unique is its history, as the area was developed by land speculators that purchased and carved in nearly 400 miles of canals. This is a boater's dream city!

More About Cape Coral Florida
Most of the city residents and guests will tell you that the key to the popularity of Cape Coral is its relaxed Gulf Coast lifestyle. A really neat area that started this relaxed living trend is the Yacht Club. Located on the southern tip of the city, the Yacht Club area is one of the oldest parts of Cape Coral. In the historic district, the area is lined with sidewalks, shops, restaurants, and local businesses. You will see lots of people biking, walking, and sightseeing the streets around Cape Coral Parkway, south to the Yacht Club.
The abundant amount of waterfront residential homes and condominium units is part of why TV and Newspaper Columnists consistently rate Cape Coral as the top rated boating communities in all of Florida. You can talk to any boater to get the low-down on popular boating destinations such as Matlacha, Pine Island, Boca Grande, Captiva, Sanibel, and Fort Myers Beach. No matter by kayak, canoe, sailboat, or bow rider, just getting out in this scenic area filled with beaches, preserved wet lands, oyster bays, and coves is just perfect for all types of water sports.
