Jetty Park Camping

Q: We are taking our annual florida vacation, coming down from New Jersey. We like the area a lot, and are looking at camping in various spots around the state. How is the camping at Jetty Park. We are big beach lovers, but have never camped on the beach. Are the spots near the beach. How far away. After a few days visiting Cocoa Beach, we are then heading to the fort desoto campground over near st. pete beach.

A: Jetty Park has a pretty big camping area set up at the park. You will be about 200 or 300 yards from the beach and will be located just off the intercoastal waterway where the ships come in. You will get great views of those cruise ships, as they come in and out of port canaveral. Be sure to bring your fishing poles, as both Jetty Park and the fort desoto campground have some of the best fishing around. Another common element is they both have fantastic fishing piers that are great for both day and night fishing. Expect a wonderful Florida camping vacation experience. Have a great trip!

We had a great experience at Coconuts on the Beach. It is an oceanfront party deck with great views, delicious food, and drink specials. What makes it special is the beach bar is ideally located at Two Minutemen Causeway in Cocoa Beach. We believe Coconuts on the Beach is one of the best things to do on the east coast.
