The Boardwalks add an inspiring natural feature to John Chesnut Park 's trail system, and they can be enjoyed and traveled by people of all abilities. No matter what the season, the boardwalks give you a unique perspective of the surrounding Florida habitat.
The boardwalks are intermixed into the park's trails. They are shady, and offer excellent views of the park's natural scenery. Parts of the elevated boardwalks run along the boat ramp, leading to a prominent lookout tower for scenic overviews of Lake Tarpon. You can climb the observation tower to see the expansive lake, and you will find picnic shelters right out over the water as well.
