This lakeside locals getaway features a generous and well maintained six-lane boat ramp for water play. It is a great ramp, with good access, and the ample adjacent parking that is partially shaded.
The John Chesnut Park boat ramp features six lanes, with well-maintained docks that are easily accessible. It has a concrete surface that is in very good condition. There is sufficient water for launching, even at low tide, and it is only 200 yards to the edge of the main body of the lake.
There is typically plenty of parking, with approximately 40 spaces for vehicles with trailers. In addition, overflow parking is available by improvising in the spacious park acreage. Note the $5 fee, which is required at all Pinellas County boat ramps.
