Whether you're still planning or ready to go, we've got plenty of advice and tips to help you make the most out of your "Fun Florida Getaway".

		Know your time expectations. Plan on spending at least a half-day at this park. You'll spend part of the day on the bus tour, and part of the day at the Visitor Center, so plan to visit for around 4-5 hours.

		Check the Space Shuttle schedule. There are times when the park is not available to the public. This occurs before a shuttle launch, so call ahead, or check the Kennedy Space Center website, for available times to visit.

		Wear comfortable shoes. You'll do quite a bit of walking during your visit, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. You might want to bring a snack also, in case you get hungry during the bus tour.

		Save time for IMAX. After you return from the bus tour, be sure to view one of the IMAX 3-D movies available. The IMAX films are an inspiring tribute to our Space program.

		Bring your camera. There are some fabulous photo opportunities at this park. After all, this is the home of the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station Complex.

		See the Apollo 8 film. The re-creation of the launch of Apollo 8 on film is simply awesome. A great thing to do, be sure to see it.

Parking is Free

Finally a central Florida attraction that has completely free parking. Yeah, and about time. Most of the fun places around Florida: the beaches, attractions, theme parks, and even the state beach parks charge for parking. A big thumbs up to the mangers, staff, and employees at Kennedy Space Center.

Welcome to the Space Coast

We just loved our visit to KSC, one of the more educational attractions in central florida. This attraction is great for children, as kids will learn and ask questions about the process and history of the space station for example. You also get a lot of other options for you space coast itinerary, like Cocoa Beach and Jetty Park to name just a few.
