Madeira Beach Florida Questions or Comments
Traffic and Parking at Madeira Beach
Q: Hi Fun Florida, Just so much thinking about our upcoming getaway to Madeira Beach and St. Pete Beach. Being from Washington, we looked at the different areas, like Cocoa Beach, Sarasota, Ft. Myers Beach, and Boca Grande. We finally settled on Pinellas County for our first florida vacation. In future years, we plan to hit those other vacation spots. We are planning on staying at the Island Paradise Cottages of Madeira Beach, but we are coming down in our RV. Any issues with driving around the area in an RV? You know, parking at restaurants, beach bars, etc.
Thanks so much, Lulu Spector (Washington DC)
A: Neato, that sounds like a great trip you have planned. You really did narrow it down, and you could not have went wrong with Cocoa Beach, Sarasota, Ft. Myers Beach, or Boca Grande. These are all hot spots, and thrilling in their own unique ways. Back to your question, I would recommend trying to leave the RV at your cottage and taking the beach trolley. You will find that parking the RV a bit difficult at many of the popular beach spots, and those are the ones not to miss.
This trolley system is really nice, and will take you to some great spots to checkout. As you travel around Pinellas on the trolley or in the RV, be sure to take a peek at: Pier 60, Clearwater Beach, and Indian Rocks Beach. Plus, you need to have dinner or drinks at the Sand Key Marriott, Don Cesar Resort and the Sheraton Sand Key. These are all along the beaches of Pinellas County. Wow, you are going to love it here at Madeira Beach!
Be safe on your journey to Madeira.
Commodore Beach Club Hotel
Our stay at Madeira Beach was wonderful, we just loved the boating, fishing, and the area restaurants. The hotel we choose was the Commodore Beach Club, a fine place to stay and was perfectly situated right there by the beach. The motel had a nice pool, which was heated, bbq grills, and a hot tub. Our two bedroom unit was condo style and just great. A real nice beach resort, just perfect for a florida beach vacation.

Madeira Restaurants & Bars
Daiquiri Deck
One of the older and more established restaurant and bar spots around the area is the Daiquiri Deck. However, they started requiring a cover charge to enter in the evenings, so we don't go anymore. No other restaurants along the island ask for a fee to enter. Address: 14995 Gulf Blvd., Phone: 727-393-2706.
