Nokomis Beach

Just another lovely day visiting Nokomis Beach, an area filled with action and sporting adventure. You have miles and miles of beach shoreline to explore. On the north end of the beach is a huge park, highlighted by a long fishing jetty that pokes way out onto the Gulf. The boating is unparalleled, as you can buzz out in the gulf for big game fishing, or cruise in the miles of intercoastal water ways and stop at boater friendly restaurants. It is South Sarasota County, where this unique beach area thrives with action for locals and tourists.

	The jetty area is just wonderful. There are tons of people walking, fishing, and sightseeing along the boating thoroughfare.
	It is easy to understand why the real estate market does so well, what could be better than living near Nokomis Beach.
	The lifeguards have to be on their game, as the Gulf waters are filled with people swimming, snorkeling, and playing in the water.
	One of the most popular places for fishing in Sarasota or Venice is the Jetty Park.
	These folks came up with a neat and colorful way to block the sea breeze.
	Buy a home along the intercoastal or one of the hundreds of canals and you too can have your boat right out back.
	A great fitness beach, pleasant and fun to journey down. You can get a quaint beachside rental condominium or hotel and make the beach your home for the weekend.
	As a boater, I love all the boater friendly restaurants Nokomis has to choose from.
	On the north end of Nokomis Beach is a small boat ramp, which will have you right out in the Gulf in about two minutes.
	This is a super area to tour on bikes or boats, with great sightseeing in all directions.

South Sarasota Fun

There is just so much to do around Nokomis Beach. The boating is just the best, and you are so close to Venice Jetty Park and Venice Beach. The sightseeing is super, as there are so many public parks, beaches, and waterfront restaurants to enjoy. While less known than some of the other waterfront communities, Nokomis is easily one of the better places to see in west Florida.

C: Hi, we just returned from a two week vacation. We spent a week at Nokomis Beach and the remainder over in Orlando hitting the theme parks and International Drive. We were very pleasantly surprised how favorable the rates are at the beachside hotels. It was cheaper staying at the beach than Disney resorts like the Contemporary Resort or the Polynesian Resort, which are the two we stayed at. It appears that summer rates along the coast are really good, as the Florida hotel discounts make staying beachside so affordable.

A: Great thing to know and a super comment. I think many people choose between a beach vacation and a disney vacation, but you got the best of both.
