North Shore Park
![]() |
| How about a great place to swing! What great views of the water, boats, and nature, as you peer out over Tampa Bay. |
It is the one of a kind North Shore Park, St. Petersburg's huge waterfront park, which runs along Tampa Bay from Coffee Pot Bayou to Vinoy Park. This park is awesome with scenic walking paths that run through North Shore Park, over to Snell Isle, adjacent Flora Kylies Park, and Gizella Kopsick Palm Arboretum. It has four lighted tennis courts (next to the water!), the North Shore Beach, playgrounds, benches, and even a softball field (home of Kids and Kubs). North Shore Park is a rare natural treat, smack in the middle of a modern setting.
Biking
For pure enjoyment and a unique view of the downtown St. Petersburg area, bring your bike, as North Shore Park is the perfect spot to start your journey.
Try a ride south through North Shore, Vinoy Park, and Straub Park; Cruise through the waterfront Demen's Landing Park, then over past Albert Witted Airport, and University of South Florida, St. Pete Campus; Head west around Tropicana Field, then north to Central Avenue; Take Central Avenue all the way back through downtown St. Pete, past the Vinoy Hotel and back to North Shore Park.
This wonderful ride will take you about an hour, and it is wonderful for sure!
North Shore Dog Park
North Shore has a wonderful Dog Park, with fenced area of approximately one-acre and doubled gated entrances and exits. Let your dog run, play, sniff, and chase each other in carefree games of tag inside the fenced zone. It is also a great gathering place to promote a sense of community. You can make new friends and develop a sense of shared responsibility for the park. There are water fountains for thirsty pets, a poop station, and trash bins. All the city's dog parks are open from sunrise to sunset.
Our Thoughts
It is located right next to downtown St. Petersburg, with great cityscape and harbor views. It is a super venue, with benches and shady trees, and close to all the neat restaurants, shops, and night clubs of St. Petersburg.
