Philippe Park
This is a lovely park located along the shores of Old Tampa Bay, in Safety Harbor, FL. It is filled with vast shady trees, plenty of picnic areas, and a children's playground too. You can enjoy rollerblading, biking, or walking through the park, and if you have a boat, you can launch it from a boat ramp located near the entrance of the park.

Philippe Park Questions or Comments
Walking at Philippe
Q: Hello, Our fitness group is looking for new parks to see. We do about one to two hours of intense walking at each spot, on Saturdays. It is hard to tell by the photos, but is the park big enough to do some big time fitness walking. Our group has been mainly doing a lot of trips around Clearwater Beach, Dunedin, and Fort Desoto Park. We like the park from the photos, due to all the shade trees.
Thanks again, Judy Horton (Clearwater Beach)
A: I think you will find the park perfect for fitness walking. It is big, and if you walk for multiple hours, you may have to do a few loops. The trees are outstanding, and it is a great place to take the family and children. Enjoy your walk, and please let us know what you think.
Tampa Bay Boat Ramp
We use the Philippe Park Boat Ramp, which is one of the most northern ramps providing access to Tampa Bay. There is trailer parking for approximately 30 trailers. It puts you high up into tampa bay, with lots of boater friendly restaurants to enjoy.
