To sum it up as briefly as possible, Sand Key is beautifully stunning and the area has tons of fun things to do! 	It starts with Sand Key's Beach, which for many years has be consistently rated as a top Florida Beach by various publications and Fun-Florida-Getaways.com.
	It is a boater's paradise, and with a great selection of rentals and sightseeing cruises available...you are affordably able to get out and enjoy the water yourself.
	It is a beach shopping oasis, with all sorts of neat Florida beach shops and boutiques to enjoy.
	The clear waters and powdery-white sand are as good as it gets in Florida.
	Sand Key has a myriad of first class accommodations to choose from including the Marriott Suites and the Sheraton Resort.
	One of the finest waterfront parks in the state is located on the northern tip of the island, it's Sand Key Park.
	Here you get one of the most scenic beachfront skylines around.
	From the beach, you are less than a ten minute walk from the wildly popular entertainment district at Clearwater Beach.

Boating

This is a hot bed for area boaters and we just love it. Typically we launch from either the Seminole Street Boat Ramp or the Belleair Causeway, both provide quick access to the Sand Key Bridge and Gulf. It is a nice area to see other boats, skiffs, sailboats, and charter cruise boats heading in and out of the pass. It is great boating fun.

Sand Key Restaurants

C: Just returned from our second vacation to Sand Key Florida. Last year we stayed at the Sand Key Sheraton and this year just across the street at Sand Key Marriott. Our family's favorite restaurant around the area has got to be outdoor deck dining at the Columbia Restaurant. We discovered it last year, and thought it was only located in Tampa, or rather in Ybor City. The seafood was just wonderful, and how about the names of the dishes...like Red Snapper "Alicante" and Filet Mignon "Chacho". They just know how to do it right. Next year we are going to stay across the bridge in Clearwater Beach, but at least once or twice, we will be dining at the Columbia Restaurant.

Pack for Adventure

Be sure to pack for adventure, as you will be in and out of the water during the day. Casual attire is acceptable at the Clearwater attractions, beach bars, and Pier 60. We had the best itinerary and were busy every moment during our weekend beach getaway. Explore the Pinellas County Beach Park and hit the entertainment district, this is the best one tank trip.
