Sand Key State Park
Sand Key State Park is a 95 acre waterfront park featuring a white sandy beach that is consistently rated as one of the top beaches in the US. Located at the northern tip of the Sand Key Barrier Island, Sand Key Park is just south of Clearwater Beach. It is an expansive beach, large enough to feel un-crowded on most days. The waters are usually calm, so you can enjoy swimming and rafting. This is a pristine beach, and a splendid travel getaway.

Getting Around
One of the best things about staying at a Clearwater Beach or Sand Key Beach Hotel is the Trolley. Your transportation to the restaurants, beach bars, shopping, and area beaches is handled by the Trolley. We did not even use our car at all during our last weekend stay. It is really nice having the transportation handled for you. Plus, you can have drinks and have no issues getting home.

Proximity to Fun
We stayed at the Sand Key Marriott during our recent weekend getaway. What makes this area special is not only the Park, but also the proximity to the fun and action at the Clearwater Beach entertainment district. The beach trolley does all the work, we loved it.
