Sarasota's Bayfront Park

Sarasota Bayfront Park is perfect for meeting up with friends for scenic walking and then some waterfront cocktails at O'Leary's Tiki Bar & Grill or Marina Jacks Restaurant.

At the base of Sarasota's beautiful city skyline is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon, it's Sarasota Bayfront Park. This Island Park is fantastic and filled with scenic eye-candy in every direction. Bayfront is situated on an island peninsula right on the waters of Sarasota Bay. Sidewalks traverse all around the area, making this a great spot for long walks, rollerblading, and bike rides. Children will love the water fountains to splash in and the huge playground zone.

You can relax on the benches and swings that line the walkways, or throw out a blanket and have a picnic. Plus they have two nice waterfront restaurants, O'Leary's Tiki Bar & Grill and Marina Jacks dockside.

Enjoy the Water

Sarasota Bay, New Pass, Gulf Waters

With some of the most beautiful waters in Florida, we have the best fun when enjoying the Gulf's water activities and aquatic wildlife. At Sarasota Bayfront Park very affordable rentals and charters are available. For example, how about taking a tropical sunset cruise for less than $20 per adult. Choose between sightseeing cruises, deep sea fishing, sailing with the breeze, or popping around on a waverunner. You can rent boats and explore the waters around Lido and Longboat Keys using powerboats, bow riders, and pontoon boats. For the fishing fans, you can rent the gear to reel in some red fish, grouper, or mahi mahi which make the waters off Sarasota their home. These aquatic adventures can make some lasting memories.

Just Around the Corner

St. Armands Circle

Be sure to enjoy a unique shopping and dining experience at St. Armands Circle. This is a cluster of storefronts, boutiques, and cafes that offer you a chance to stroll, mingle, and dine outside with the sea breeze. St. Armands is a neat mix, from casual beach bars to exclusive shops with fine beachwear.

Beach Paradise

Longboat, Siesta, & Lido Beach

Visitors enjoy world class white-sandy beaches and breathtaking sunsets from the many beautiful islands that sprinkle down the coastline. A day of exploring these top rated beaches is a great family outing. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the warm Gulf waters, which typically have a gentle surf. You will see great nature, lots of beachside activities, and find unique shells along the shore.

Sarasota Attractions Questions or Comments

Best Bar in Sarasota

Easily the best bar in Sarasota is O'leary's Tiki Bar & Grill. The waterfront views, all of the boats, the great people, and the location are what gives this restaurant and grill the grand prize! Really, it is awesome and you can't go wrong with this venue for fun.

O'leary's Tiki Bar & Grill

Completely agree, that is the spot for a restaurant with fun and a great view. Our kayak club likes to kayak around the water and end up at the bar. Add this to your sarasota things to do list.
