Shell Factory Questions or Comments
Shopping for Florida Things
Q: Good afternoon, Getting ready for our trip down to for boating in Sanibel Island on Thursday, and just trying to get everything ready. Doing nearly a full two weeks of boating and beach play at Captiva Island's South Seas Plantation. We are driving down down from Gainesville, and can hardly wait. The water down there is just too beautiful. We need to bring back a bunch of gifts and goodies for friends at church and the rest of the family. We have a really big family, so I was wondering if you know of the best place to get really good deals on the touristy Florida things. You know, one of those places that has turtle bottle openers, and other unique things like that. Hope that makes sense.
Help please! Yolanda Jacobs (Gainesville, FL)
A: Yolanda, the place for you is located in North Ft. Myers, a classic place that has been in business forever. This is the World's Largest Shell Factory, at least that is what they claim. And when you get there you will agree. They sell all kinds of neato beachy Florida things. Plus, the prices are much better than you will find on Pine Island, Ft. Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, or Captiva Island. While we do shop at each of these, do your bulk gift buying at the Shell Factory. It is right on your way, off Highway 41, about one mile north of the Caloosahatchee River.
Hope that helps, and have a great trip down.
Shell Factory Orlando
I wonder if all of the great shell factory shopping stores in Orlando are related to the one in Lee County, by Cape Coral. They certainly have the same merchandise focus. We really like the shopping, it is a fun place to browse and pick up discount treasures.
