It is quiet and relaxing, and perfect for a comfortable stroll around the unique shops and cafes of St. Armands Circle. Typically, you will find the area busy with visitors, but you can usually walk right in and get a table and quick service at the restaurants and bars.

Activities

You are in the heart of the action at St. Armands Circle. From here you can walk right over to North Lido Beach and enjoy all the beach activities and watersports. This is a super place to bike or rollerblade around the island, Bird Key, Longboat, and Bayfront Park. Don't miss some great sunsets over the Gulf.

biking		comment Ratings Be sure to bring bikes, it is the best way to get around the island and beach area. You can park around St. Armands Circle, then bike down around Lido Beach and further south to South Lido Park. For longer rides head way up and back Longboat Key, a great bike ride. ★★★★★
boating		comment Ratings A super boating spot, as you can explore up and down the Gulf, plus the intercoastal waterways, and around Sarasota Bay. ★★★★★
boat ramps		comment Ratings Sarasota County has some nice ramps right around the corner in about each direction. Try Causeway Park, Ken Thompson Park, and Centennial Park for boat ramps close by. And there are more good boat ramps around the area. ★★★★
camping		comment Ratings No camping.
fishing		comment Ratings Great fishing off the shoreline, and in and around the area, or off the bridges. You can charter or take some fishing cruises out of Sarasota Bayfront Park. ★★★★★
hiking/walking		comment Ratings Great walking and hiking around the entire beach area and islands. We enjoy walking over the Ringling Causeway bridge for the fantastic views of Downtown Sarasota, Bayfront Park, and Sarasota Bay. ★★★★★
nature trails		comment Ratings No trails at St. Armands Circle, but the best nature trail is the Gulf shoreline over at North Lido Beach! Checkout South Lido Park for scenic nature on a trails with great views of the Intercoastal Waterway.

playgrounds		comment Ratings No playgrounds for kids. However, the beach is the playground here.
