Dodecanese Boulevard

tarpon springs

This area is the main tourist spot for Tarpon Springs. Vendors flourish along the street selling their wares, which include souvenirs, clothing, Greek pastries, and just about every kind of sponge imaginable. There is sponge for bathing, massage, decoration, and even painting. The atmosphere is Greek, with Florida flair.

Tarpon Springs Crowds

Expect a lively time on Dodecanese Boulevard. It's a great way to spend the day. Indulge yourself, and enjoy the Greek culture. Venture off to side streets, where magnificent chefs await to feed you a full meal of delicious Greek food. Enjoy a boat ride on the water. Purchase lovely Greek clothing, which you can wear almost anywhere here in Florida. Taste the luscious pastries, or sit at a sidewalk cafe and enjoy ice cream as tourists go by.

Tarpon Springs Questions or Comments

Day Trip

We enjoy heading over, as it is just about thirty minutes or so from both Tampa and St. Petersburg. The area has a rich history, as way back in the early 1900's Greeks started to immigrate to the area for the sponge industry. The food is mouth watering, and with cold beer or tea is so refreshing.
