Venice Golf
C: Did anyone hear about the eleven foot gator that tried to eat the golfer yesterday? It is true, the guy hit his golf ball in the lake and was trying to get it out, and the big gator came after him and took a little skin off. He was fine, but stopped his round of golf.

Lake Venice Golf Club
Yeah, that was at the Lake Venice Golf Club. The guy, Bruce Burger was trying to retrieve his ball from a pond on the sixth hole. This course has plenty of beware of alligators signs all over the place. It is one of the best golf courses in south Sarasota. We play it all of the time, but stay away from the lakes. That is a funny story.

Area Fishing
Oh my is the south sarasota area the best for fishing and boating. We spend the day on the water, and then hit the city scene late in the day. Normally we drive down for long weekend getaways and mini vacations.
